Produce Inspection Training

Produce Inspection Training Program is a two-day course intended for quality control personnel, produce buyers, produce inventory control personnel, and other company associates involved in the receiving, handling, buying, and shipping of fresh produce.

Our Produce Inspection Training class for the 2019 fall semester will be held October 8th & 9th. Registration will open August 13th. The class will be hosted by Robinson Fresh in Tampa, Florida.

Mr. Tom Yawman from International Produce Training (IPT) will conduct the training. A certificate of completion will be awarded to those who complete both the spring and fall courses.

Please note that this class is limited to 20 attendees, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will also be given to SEPC members.

PIT Class Testimonial

“I would like to thank the SEPC for organizing the recent produce training seminar that took place this week in Tampa. It was a very productive and informative experience and, even though I have been in the produce business for a long time, I still come away learning new ways to grade and execute quality checks. I would also like to thank CH ROBINSON for letting us use their facility for this training. They were very accommodating and gracious to us as a group. Looking forward to the fall class with Tom Yawman!” ~ Keith Vigue, US Foods
