Our Team

When it comes to running the Southeast Produce Council, we believe it’s better to be out in the open than behind the scenes. Simply put, we enjoy connecting with council members in person at our events and initiatives where we can hear success stories firsthand or start taking steps to help solve business challenges where we can.

But of course, we’re also available via the usual channels. If you have a question or concern, feel free to reach out to any of us by phone or email. We’re all on the same team at the SEPC.

David Sherrod is the President and CEO of the Southeast Produce Council. He was member #17 when the council was established in 1999. His passion for the produce industry began at age 16 when he started working for Piggly Wiggly Southern. Starting out as a produce clerk, he later became a produce buyer at the chain’s headquarters in Vidalia, Georgia.

After the acquisition of Piggly Wiggly Southern by Bruno’s Inc., he and his wife Sarah transferred to Birmingham, Alabama where he continued his career as Produce Category Manager. In 1995, he accepted the position of Merchandising Manager with Del Monte Fresh Produce. In 1997, David broadened his produce career by accepting the position of Regional Sales Manager with River Ranch Fresh Foods. In 1999, he began a 15-year long stint with Apio, Inc. as the Southeast Regional Business Manager. David took the helm of the SEPC in July 2014.

David has been married to his wife Sarah since 1992. They have two sons, Henry and Hudson, and a daughter, Hannah. He considers his family to be his pride and joy. There’s never a dull moment in the Sherrod household!

Molly Edenfield Farrow

MEMBER RELATIONS

A Millen-native, Molly has been working with Southeast Produce Council since 2015. After moving to Statesboro to finish her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at Georgia Southern University, Molly returned to Millen to help open the new SEPC home office. Though her title reads Member Relations Manager, she wears many hats; as well as helping the SEPC members with everyday questions, she also builds and manages the registration system, heads the food and beverage for every event, and books hotel rooms for our VIP and buyer attendees.

Even though Molly has always considered SEPC members her extended family, she shares her life with her husband, Austin, daughter, Charlie Rose, stepson, Hayden, and two dogs, Ruger and Wyatt. They enjoy the simple things such as fishing, camping, gardening, and spending quality time with family.

Anna joined the SEPC team as the Marketing Manager in 2017. She enjoys helping her SEPC family through the many facets of her position, including coordinating the activities and events within each conference, assisting with production management and public relations, and building and maintaining member connections within the SEPC social sites.

When she is not working in SEPC’s Millen office, Anna is serving as the Millen United Methodist Church’s Minister of Music, where she has led the adult and children’s choirs in worship since 2010. Her most rewarding job, however, is her partnership with her husband, Charlie, raising their two daughters, Millie Kate and Charlotte.
