David Sherrod is the President and CEO of the Southeast Produce Council. He was member #17 when the council was established in 1999. His passion for the produce industry began at age 16 when he started working for Piggly Wiggly Southern. Starting out as a produce clerk, he later became a produce buyer at the chain’s headquarters in Vidalia, Georgia.

After the acquisition of Piggly Wiggly Southern by Bruno’s Inc., he and his wife Sarah transferred to Birmingham, Alabama where he continued his career as Produce Category Manager. In 1995, he accepted the position of Merchandising Manager with Del Monte Fresh Produce. In 1997, David broadened his produce career by accepting the position of Regional Sales Manager with River Ranch Fresh Foods. In 1999, he began a 15-year long stint with Apio, Inc. as the Southeast Regional Business Manager. David took the helm of the SEPC in July 2014.

David has been married to his wife Sarah since 1992. They have two sons, Henry and Hudson, and a daughter, Hannah. He considers his family to be his pride and joy. There’s never a dull moment in the Sherrod household!

Molly Edenfield Farrow serves as Senior Manager, Programs & Operations for the Southeast Produce Council (SEPC), where she leads the planning and operational execution of the Council’s educational programs, conferences, leadership initiatives, and member experiences. Since joining SEPC in 2015, Molly has helped shape many of the organization’s signature programs and events, combining strategic planning with operational excellence to deliver exceptional experiences while advancing SEPC’s mission of connecting, educating, and serving the fresh produce industry.

A Millen, Georgia native, Molly earned her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Georgia Southern University before returning home to help establish SEPC’s headquarters in Millen. Her expertise spans event management, conference operations, registration systems, attendee logistics, sponsorship fulfillment, hospitality, and program development. She works closely with industry volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and SEPC leadership to ensure every initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence.

One of Molly’s greatest passions is developing future leaders. She is proud to support and help grow SEPC’s leadership development and educational programs, creating opportunities for professionals across the produce supply chain to build meaningful relationships, expand their knowledge, and strengthen the industry for generations to come.

Known for her collaborative spirit, attention to detail, and servant leadership, Molly is driven by creating experiences that bring people together and leave a lasting impact on members, partners, and attendees alike.

Outside the office, Molly enjoys spending time with her husband, Austin, daughter, Charlie Rose, stepson, Hayden, and their dogs, Ruger, Ruby, and Wyatt. Whether they’re fishing, camping, gardening, or simply enjoying quality time together, family is at the heart of everything she does.

Anna joined the SEPC team as the Marketing Manager in 2017. Driven by a heart for service, she supports her produce family by wearing many hats—coordinating conference experiences and production, guiding member e-communications and public relations, and cultivating vibrant online communities across SEPC’s website and social channels.

When she is not working at SEPC’s Millen headquarters, Anna remains deeply rooted in her community. She has led the adult and children’s choirs as Minister of Music at Millen Methodist Church since 2010 and frequently volunteers on and off stage with The PAL Players community theater. Of all her roles, her greatest joy is her partnership with her husband, Charlie, in raising their daughters, Millie Kate and Charlotte.

Emily Cates serves in Member Relations at the Southeast Produce Council, where she is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with members and creating positive connections throughout the produce industry. Emily embraces every opportunity to learn, and she is excited to grow alongside the SEPC’s outstanding team. Her outgoing personality, determination, and love for communication make her a natural fit for helping members feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Emily enjoys connecting with members, supporting their engagement, and help strengthen the sense of community that defines the Southeast Produce Council.

A native of Millen, Georgia, Emily is a small-town girl who values hard work, faith, family, and community. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Lynnlee Kay and Lettie Ruth, who inspire her every day. Family is at the heart of everything Emily does, and she treasures every moment spent with her girls.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys relaxing at the beach, baking cakes, and cooking for family and friends. Whether she’s connecting with members, trying new recipes, or making memories with her daughters, her warm personality, enthusiasm, and dedication for building relationships make her a valued member of the Southeast Produce Council team.

Paige Johnson is thrilled to be back with the Southeast Produce Council, returning to an organization that has always felt like home. After previously spending two years as part of the SEPC team, Paige is grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships, and continue growing alongside the people who make the Southeast Produce Council such a special community.

Paige holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and brings her education, previous experience with SEPC, genuine love for people, and passion for building meaningful connections to her role. She is especially excited to be back with her SEPC work family and looks forward to creating new memories, strengthening relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of an organization she is proud to be part of.

Originally from Waynesboro, Georgia, Paige now calls the “big city” of Garfield, Georgia, home, where she lives with her husband, Justin, and their two boys, Ace and Asher. Her family is her greatest joy, and she treasures every opportunity to spend time with her boys, make memories, and enjoy the little moments that matter most.

And while Paige has always considered herself a girly girl, raising two boys has given her a whole new education. These days, she knows far more about dinosaurs, monster trucks, and all things “boy”, life with two boys has taught her that the best adventures usually involve a little dirt, a lot of noise, and plenty of laughter.
